Frankfurt part 2
So I ended the last blog post by posting a picture of the 747-8 Intercontinental taking off.
After we parked by the gate (rather unusual experience for me, as I usually have flown in to Frankfurt with the MD-80 series which always means a remote stand and bus to the terminal) I proceeded through the A-terminal to the arrivals area. I didn’t check any bags so I continued straight to my hotel for the night which was the Hilton Frankfurt Airport. Pretty good hotel. Because I’m HHonors Gold I was upgraded to the executive floors with access to the executive lounge.
The lounge served snacks during the day, there was free WiFi for Gold members and all in all a pleasant stay. The breakfast in the lounge in the morning wasn’t too bad, but in Norway we are spoiled with pretty amazing hotel breakfasts, making it hard for other “ordinary” hotel chains (i.e not luxury brands) to compete with what I’m used to from home π
For β¬130 I got a decent room, great location (5 minute-walk from the check in counters in Terminal 1) and a good nights sleep.
I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing a night near the Frankfurt airport.
More to comeΒ π

Very nice! You could be the next travel blogger! I will definitely check out the hotel next time I’m in Frankfurt. Your trip is amazing.
I try π Travel is so much fun, and I love to share experiences with others. You should, I saw some flight crews at the hotel, apparently a popular layover hotel. Delta flies the 767 to Frankfurt π Thank you!
